Carter Family | Real Property Funds

The Carter Family was an American folk music group. The group's original members, Sara Carter, A. P. Carter, and Maybelle Carter, were all born and raised in southwest Virginia and were immersed in the traditional music of the region. The group was discovered by Ralph Peer, a producer for the Victor Talking Machine Company. The group's music has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Americana Music Association President's Award.
